–        The Addiction Centre’s  Integrated approach

  •  Upon admission, each client will undergo a comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment that considers the mental, physical and emotional aspects of each individual.
  •  Complete psychological and medical examinations identify critical client needs as the foundation for an individualised holistic addiction treatment plan, and as a basis for goals, objectives, and the nature and scope of modalities to be included in the overall program.
  • Individual assessment of a client’s needs regarding family involvement and family needs determines the appropriate degree of family involvement within treatment.
  • After a comprehensive assessment the treating team hold a meeting to discuss the best way forward to meet the needs of the client and develop the best outcomes possible.
  • Your treatment plan is then developed and reviewed by our multidisciplinary team of traditional medicine and complimentary practitioners.
  • The clinical team will assign you a therapist to best suit your needs and you have regular psychotherapy sessions to address past traumas, anxiety and depression and look at family relationships and triggers that perpetuate emotional and physical pain.
  • Client assessment is an ongoing, evolving process that continues for the duration of your treatment as a means to measure your progress to determine if our approach needs to be modified and adapted to your changing needs.

–        Our Holistic Individual Approach to Treatment

Our holistic, one-on-one approach to treatment ensures each of your individual needs and issues is addressed, within an overall healing strategy that supports the entire being, and extends to the treatment of a diversity of disorders. Our practitioners have successfully treated individuals for substance abuse, executive burnout, drug addiction, eating disorders, alcoholism, post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic fatigue syndrome and a range of other self-destructive behaviours. In order to devise a program that caters comprehensively to your particular needs and circumstances, we must understand as much as possible about your individual condition, personal and family history, personality, medical history, and overall mental, physical and emotional health status, so comprehensive psychological, physical, and where necessary, medical, assessment precedes the design and implementation of every treatment program.

Each program is holistic, comprehensive, wholly customised and responsive to client needs, yet no two programs are ever the same. A basic framework guides each program structure – core program elements are adapted, enhanced and integrated within your personal treatment plan according to your assessment outcomes. A comprehensive treatment team comprising psychotherapists, medical staff, alternative therapists and other relevant specialists, will liaise in the tailoring of a detailed treatment plan, to be overseen and co-ordinated by our resident Clinical Consultant. They will hold regular meetings with each member of your treatment team, closely monitor your progress and adjust treatment accordingly. Programs combine a range of daily activities and therapies with intensive treatment elements such as individual psychotherapy sessions, 12 Step meetings and where necessary, appropriate level of medical support.

Levels of intensity and treatment time frames are determined and adjusted according to each client, and the flexible nature of our treatment approach allows for progressive program modification in response to client progress and changing needs.

We look beyond the symptoms to address the underlying causes of your behaviour as you develop lifestyle strategies designed to optimise health, neutralise stress and promote lasting lifestyle change, within an environment that supports and enhances the treatment process. As part of your treatment program, our staff will develop a strategic aftercare and support plan to maintain your treatment results and strengthen your recovery beyond our facility, as you continue on your transformative journey.
